Miscellaneous Question in Random Sequence:

In an outdoor installation how do I keep out the rain and snow?
Put a lid on it soldier! Any Energenics Filters can be mounted outside. Have your sheet metal fabricator mount a “chinaman’s cap” well above the outlet to facilitate the airflow, or install a “gooseneck” duct that directs the exhaust back to the roof and away from other air handling equipment.

How much lint is collected?
Our wet and dry filters collect between 97%-98% of the lint the dryers exhaust.

How much lint gets through the system?
It is easy to estimate the amount of lint that will get past our filters. With a 98% filter rate, determine how much lint they empty each work day, after 50 days one of those bags will have by passed the system.

My rotor stopped turning, why?
There are two causes of rotor stopping. First, the top and bottom rotating bearing surfaces are clogged with dirt, sand or crusty from the dried chemical residue of the washing drying process. Second the air holes that propel the rotor to spin are clogged or now misaligned.

What do I do?
Completely clean the rotor bearing area by blasting with compressed air. Then by hand, spin the rotor until it spins freely. You may have to “man handle” the rotor to free it up from the debris clogging the bearing surfaces. Now test with air and the manual blowdown button. Check the horizontal holes in the “red” section or in the corners of the rotor. Insure they are unclogged. If clogged, unclog. If it still will not rotate with the compressed air, re- drill the holes one size drill bit larger. Try the manual operation again. If the air is correct, the holes unclogged and the rotor spinning freely it will work as designed.
