Air Free no blowdown Filter:
Does the Air Free collect the same amount of lint?
Yes, the same screen is used in all of our dry filters.
How does the screen clean the lint off?
Sub-optimally! The filter screen is like an air sock, with dryers running it is vertically inverted into the filter top section. When the dryers are off, it falls into the bottom part and lint bag and the majority of the lint falls into the bag.
How do I get the screen optimally cleaned?
Open the clear quick release marine window, grab the filter screen and shake vigorously once a week or so. Once a quarter, pull out the screen and wash it.
What options are available?
A side discharge is the only standard option.
Can I get some sort of Fire Control Option?
Essentially, no! The value of this simple no-blowdown, no control filter is its price and simplicity. A “heat” fusible link water spray head can be added to the filter by the installer. This is a $100 solution. If you twist our arms far enough, we’ll cobble together a control from our Automatic filter that will provide fire protection. If we do it, we’ll like the price, you won’t. It does work however!
Can I install the Air Free outside?
Of course! Buy the side discharge option and it will keep most of the rain out.
